Constantin Chase Madamen Burlesque Rouge 2013
A Southern Rhone red wine, from the first harvest of the old vines at Chateau Constantin Chase in the Luberon. Madame Burlesque represents the fruity, cheeky and mysterious character of the wine. A blend of Shiraz (60%) and Grenache (40% ), these old vines are entirely hand picked at optimal maturity. From within the heart of Provence, vinification methods focus on natural fermentations, ageing in oak casks and amphora pots. Allowing freshness with red and black fruit flavours, whilst conserving an elegant velvet structure.
Nose: Vibrant and fruit, red and black fruits, notably raspberries and blackberries. Palette: Very fruity and full in character. The perfect accompaniment to roast lamb with rosemary, BBQ meats or a warm goats cheese salad
Enjoy this wine whilst its young, lovely slightly chilled. Food pairing suggestions: enjoy with roasted rosemary lamb, grilled meats, char grilled Mediterranean vegetables, or with a warm goats cheese salad.
Beautiful designed bottle, which is what we’ve come to expect from the Chase drinks stable.
Delightful combination of Shiraz and Grenache grapes. The fruitiness really is a revelation, wonderful with cheese
