Plenty of raspberry and watermelon fruit flavours. Juicy and light, it has a refreshing bright acidity on the finish. A typically blackberry/cherry fruit dominated nose, is matched on the palate by ripe fruit very much to the fore with just enough supporting acidity to create a sound balance.

A very nice wine from the USA and well worth a try

Chase Williams Rose (Gluten Free)

Chase Williams Rose Non-Vintage AOP Luberon 75cl

Gluten Free

Chase Williams Rose Gluten Free rose wine Chase Williams RoseA classic Provencal blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, we hand-select the grapes from our vieilles vignes with an average age of 50 years old. By harvesting at night, we preserve the freshness of the wine and a short cold-maceration for the must in contact with the skins imparts the enticing pale shade of pink.
Fermentation is carried out in cuvees of each variety to enhance expression of their own unique personalities. The Grenache is aged on the lees and stirred regularly to instil the creamy quality to the wine, while the Syrah is racked and separated from the lees to maintain freshness and build length. The subtle fragrant aromas from the Cinsault give a delicate finesse to the rose that continues from start to finish.

We blend at the start of January and the three cuvees were then aged together for seven weeks before bottling at the end of February. Sealed with a Vinolock glass closure, we encourage you to use the bottle again once the wine has been polished off (we know it won’t take long given how it tastes!)

Light salmon pink in colour and crisp, fresh and fruity, the rose is a singing tribute to Provence. Deliciously quaffable on a warm afternoon or the perfect accompaniment to a salad Nicoise – the wine epitomises the South of France and the long sunny days from this very special part of theworld.

Beautifully balanced, it boasts affluent stone fruit aromas of white peach and grapefruit combined with an underlying essence of crushed strawberries and Provencal herbs. The smooth and creamy texture sits in harmony with a steely minerality leading to a long, refreshing, lingering finish

Chateau Miraval Provence Rose

Chateau Miraval Provence Rose 2015 75cl

Chateau Miraval Provence RoseJoe Fattorini’s Tasting Note: “Sniff the aromas of Provence. Smell the ‘garrigue’ hillsides. Enjoy the fragrances of the rich and famous. You glass fills straight away with wild strawberries and herbs. And when you sip it, the wine has a cooling freshness for a day in the sun. Brad and Angelina, is this what your life smells like?”

Beautiful light pale pink colour. Fantastic bouquet with delicate aromas of white fruit, just picked strawberries and floral notes. The mouth is complex with raspberry and wild strawberry notes, wild herbs and citrus. It has a refreshing acidity from the high-altitude location and a long, round and vibrant finish.

  • Caves d’Esclans is the brightest new star of the Cotes de Provence. Established in 2006 when Bordeaux-born Sacha Lichine bought the Chateau d’Esclans, this dynamic producer harnesses both the chateaugrown grapes and fruit from local growers to create a stunning range of highly sought-after wines. Patrick Leon, the former winemaker at MoutonRothschild, oversees production.
  • The grapes come from several top vineyards in the region of La Motte en Provence, with classic chalky-clay soils and southerly exposure. Harvesting only took place between sunrise and noon to avoid picking in the hottest part of the day.
  • The grapes were sorted three times, both electronically and manually, before destemming and a light crushing at 7-8C. The free-run and direct-pressed juice fractions were both vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and there was twice-weekly batonnage before bottling in the December following the harvest.
