Great tasting Champagne
Full case of 6 bottles

The House of Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot and took the name Vve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business.

In 1945, Bernard de Nonancourt began an exacting apprenticeship, learning every aspect of winemaking from vine to cellar, before his appointment in October 1948 as Chairman and Chief Executive. He created the signature Laurent-Perrier style of freshness, lightness and elegance. In 1968, Laurent-Perrier launched Cuvée Rosé Brut in an elegant bottle inspired by those made in the time of French King Henri IV.

For this innovation, Bernard de Nonancourt and his staff once again displayed outstanding winemaking creativity, and decided to use a skin contact maceration technique, also known as saignée.

This calls for special care and know-how. It is used to extract the maximum aromatic richness from the Pinot Noir grapes and obtain a wine of a delicate, salmon-pink colour. Revered by wine-lovers for its flavours and by aesthetes for the beauty of its 17th century-style bottle, Laurent-Perrier Rose is one of the stars in the Laurent-Perrier range

The house was founded in 1836, and in 1874 Pommery created the very first successfully marketed Brut Champagne. To assure the quality associated with this original innovation, Pommery used grapes from 300 ha of Grand Cru vineyards on the Montagne de Reims and the Cotes de Blancs.

Thierry Gasco, Chef de Cave and Le Figaro’s ‘Man of the Year’ oversees the whole operation from vine to press to bottle, producing thousands of bottles a year, aged in an 18km network of underground cellars. Consistent top quality, together with the variety and innovation afforded by nine different crus, from the Brut Royal to the divine Cuvee Louise, is what sets Pommery apart from other Grandes Marques. Madame Pommery described her Champagne in two words: joyful & lightness.

Going a little further, Pommery has delicacy and intensity, heart and spirit, and a subtle style that is able to distinguish and promote the elegance of the flavours rather than their power. A completely fresh style, with a flash of flavours that settle on the palate to produce a tender taste.

Peter Lehmann Masters Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz

Peter Lehmann Masters Black Queen Shiraz

Peter Lehmann Masters Black Queen Shiraz Sparkling WineSparkling Shiraz is exactly that. A deep red, lightly spicy sparkler.

It’s also an Australian institution. Peter Lehmann is a Barossa institution too and he makes one of the best. It’s a bit confusing a first – yes it’s chilled and red, and a bit sweet, and fruity but not tannic… but just go with it. Australians love to serve this at barbecues and it does work well with burgers and spicy wings. But I love it most with a really good curry.

The Masters wines are the top tier of Peter Lehmann’s original classic Barossa varietals, made for the long term and released with bottle age to capture their full potential. These wines are named after a person or event that has played an intrinsic role in the Peter Lehmann story.

Intensely flavoured Shiraz grapes from old-low yielding vines create this wine inspired by the groundbreaking ‘Sparkling Burgundy’ of the 1950s – one of Australia’s unique contributions to the wine world.

Named after the Queen of Sheba, this Black Queen is deep in colour, with aromas of chocolate and dark cherry and full of exotic fruit flavours.
Beautifully deep in colour with a persistent fine bead.

The bouquet shows hints of Satsuma plum and black cherry leading to an explosion of dark, exotic fruits on the palate- a very special sparkling red for times of celebration.

Awards: Bronze – 2015 Barossa Wine Show

Food Pairing Suggestions: The perfect celebration wine- a great party starter and wonderful for a lazy Sunday brunch. Try it with smoked oysters wrapped in bacon and grilled, roast turkey or peking duck pancakes.

Storage Instructions: Store in a cool, dark environment laying flat on its side.
Serving Recommendation: Serve at room temperature

The grapes were fermented on their skins for a week to 10 days, pressed, clarified and then matured for 12 months in French oak hogsheads. The base wine was then bottle-fermented and aged on its lees for two years. Beautifully deep in colour with a persistent fine bead. The bouquet shows hints of Satsuma, plum and black cherry leading to an explosion of dark exotic fruits on the palate. A very special sparkling red for times of celebration.

A Pinot Noir-based champagne of style and finesse, Carte d’Or offers delicate aromas of white peach, quince and a touch of spice. The dry, elegant palate shows an impressive degree of concentration, along with fine bubbles and a long, crisp finish.

For one of Champagne’s most forward-thinking producers, Drappier has no shortage of historic roots. An eighth-generation family business, the house was founded in 1808 and occupies magnificent twelfth-century cellars built by Cistercian monks.

Having spearheaded the revival of Pinot Noir in the region, in the 1930s, Drappier continued to innovate. Rose in a clear bottle was introduced in 1968; extremely low levels of sulphur are used and there is even a no-added-sulphur cuvee made; the liqueur d’expedition is matured for over fifteen years in oak and demi-johns; and Drappier is the only house to ferment every format, from half-bottles up to the gigantic 30-litre Melchisedech, in the bottle in which it is sold.

Vina Poeti Bottega Prosecco Glera

Vina Poeti Bottega Prosecco Glera

Vina Poeti Bottega Prosecco Glera NV 75clThe grapes are hand-picked and produced with a white vinification (must and skin are immediately separated). The second fermentation takes place in autoclave at a controlled temperature of 14-15 C. This process lasts quite a long time in order to maintain all the wine perfumes and obtain a fine perlage. The wine is then cold stabilized at -4 C for about a week, filtered and bottled.

Bottega was established in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, master distiller with more than 30 years experience in this sector, who inherited from his grandfather, skillful wine merchant during the 20s, the passion for the world of wines. In 1983, when Aldo Bottega died, his son Sandro took over as President of the company, with the help of his sister Barbara and his brother Stefano. Within a few years Bottega gets out of anonymity, thanks to an innovative distillation method that makes grappa smoother and more delicate. 1992 saw the production of Il Vino dei Poeti, a Prosecco sparkling wine, that opens up to the company the wine market.

In 1995 the launch of Fragolino, beverage that has a great tradition behind, modifies the balance in this sector and leads the competitors to regardless forms of imitation. In 2004 grappa spray, contained in a small bottle with spraying device, was created. 2007 is an important year, because of the inauguration of the new head office in Bibano, where the winery and distillery are located.

The big nineteenth-century farmhouse is surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards. Between 2009 and 2011 acquires the direct management of two wineries in Valpolicella and Montalcino, in order to control directly the production of Amarone, Brunello and of the great red wines of these areas. In 2011 after a careful renovation of the historic site in Pianzano, the new Alexander blown glass factory opens. Here the Alexander artistic bottles are produced, following an ancient tradition. In 2013 Distilleria Bottega Srl increased the share capital and transformed in Bottega S.p.A. Today Bottega is a solid reality distributing its products in more than 120 countries worldwide and that is present also in most airport duty free shops of the world.

Wine of Fire produces a mesmerising visual effect that sets Mr Spain’s Wine of Fire apart from any standard sparkling wine.

Our View

Shaking the wine causes a kind of lava effect . If you leave it for 3-4 hours the sediment that causes it sinks to the bottom of the bottle. Lifting it upside down after doing gave an impressive effect , taste is OK for this novelty tipple and not too sweet

Moet & Chandon Champagne Imperial

Moet & Chandon

Champagne Imperial 75cl

Moet & Chandon Champagne ImperialFounded in Epernay by Claude Moet in 1743, it was his grandson Jean-Remy’s pioneering vision to share the magic of his champagne with the world that transformed Moet & Chandon into the world’s most celebrated champagne brand.

The Moet & Chandon style is distinctive: a bright fruitiness, a seductive palate and an elegant maturity that are the result of the slow, gradual progression from vine to cellar.

Directions
Serve chilled (8 to 10°C)

Lively and generous, Moet & Chandon Imperial distinguishes itself by a bright fruitiness, a seductive palate and an elegant maturity.

Its aromas are radiant, revealing bright white-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, white peach), citrus fruits, floral lime blossom and elegant blond notes (brioche and fresh nuts). The palate is richly flavourful and smooth combining generosity and elegance, followed by a delicately fresh crispiness to reveal the magical balance of champagne.

It is perfect with sushi and dumplings, shellfish and fish in light sauces, poached, roasted, or lightly sauced white meats, and fresh fruit salads that are not too sweet.

Made in Veneto in the north west of Italy.

Bottega-Gold-Prosecco-Verona-NV-75clA fresh and aromatic Prosecco sparkling wine. The ideal choice for aperitif, dinners and parties. A prestigious gift for special occasions.

Bottega Gold is a Prosecco Doc Brut sparkling wine, obtained by the vinification in white of the Glera grapes, grown in the Valdobbiadene hills. This area is close to the Venetian Prealps and characterized by a climate perfect for this native variety of grape. The vineyards are located on a hilly territory that not only has a landscape of great value but also a long wine-growing tradition. These grapes are hand picked and softly pressed in the winery. The golden bottle protects the wine by any source of light, preserving its aroma and freshness thus giving the wine a longer life.

Bottega was established in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, master distiller with more than 30 years experience in this sector, who inherited from his grandfather, skillful wine merchant during the 20’s, the passion for the world of wines.
